![]() However, for Kalahari Resorts Sandusky Ohio to be called a resort is laughable. Some of the staff are hidden gems, some of them show care and concern that is above and beyond what you'd expect at a hotel or a resort. Unfortunately, this was our first vacation since 2018 and it was the worst experience we've ever had. She was also supposed to refund the $139.99+tax for the more time more fun package, and I'd like to see my statement reflecting these refunds. We had a subpar experience and Nicole, the guest services manager was supposed to refund our 2 45 minute Halotherapy sessions because concierge was never at the desk and the spa never answered their phone. I couldn't wait to get out of this place. To pay that much money for a day pass and to have a disgusting bathroom to change in is not acceptable. Last, the bathrooms/changing rooms were really gross. The tube mechanism that continually brought the tubes back to the start of the slide was always getting jammed and stopping. I do believe that the lines could have gone faster if the flotation tubes were more efficiently distributed. There was no option to purchase a "fast pass" or anything else that would allow for shorter lines. Second, the lines for the rides (indoor and outdoor) were about 45 minutes long at minimum. After we received our wristbands, we went to pick up towels, but were told that if you purchase a day pass ($100 per ticket) you were not given free towels and you either had to purchase them at the gift shop, or go home and bring some back. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the water park, we had to wait in an hour long line to receive our wristbands. Let me start by saying I rarely leave bad reviews.įirst, I purchased day passes online a few days before our reservation. They need to do better when people are spending crazy money on these rooms because it’s not cheap at all!! We were tired because we were celebrating our holiday all day and wanted to sleep in, which was impossible because you gotta go before 11am. We checked at four after getting settled we didn’t use the park until 5. Totally uncomfortable!! We paid $700 to enjoy the park for 2 hours after we checked in at 4 and had to be out before 11 am the next morning. So this entails dragging our family of ten with all of our bags n food to the parking, put it in the car. No one wants to arrive early use a water park, be wet and cold for hours until a room is ready. They say you can arrive at 12 and use the park until your room is ready at 4. We had 10 people in our party, so we had food with us.
